Successful 37th World Conference

160 delegates and companions attended in the Westin Grand, Cape Town at the 37th Kreston International World Conference.

This year, the conference was one of the largest Kreston has ever held with the audience increasing to 220 during the presentation of Ian Thomas, a top motivational speaker who has studied lions at close quarters as a game ranger in Africa for more than 20 years. Ian gave a riveting and humerous performance across two sessions, using his intimate knowledge of lions to demonstrate the effective structure of a lion pride and how this can be applied in business to put together the “winning team.

Delegates also heard from Daniel Silke, an independent Political Analyst. Daniel gave all a fascinating overview of the history of South Africa and its politics to date.

There were also presentations from new and current members alike. Rajesh Agrawal from new member R. Agrawal and Associates from Nepal, gave an overview of his firm as did Chris Walklett from Peters Elworthy & Moore, our newest member firm in the UK.

The Westin Grand Hotel provided an excellent base from which all social activities could commence. Trips to Robben Island, Cape Point, Table Mountain, the Langa Townships and Boulders Beach were enjoyed by all with certain members also undertaking safaris either before or after the conference. An excellent welcome dinner was held at the hotel, with external venues, Moyo and Africa Cafe, both offering regional entertainment and food.

Thanks go to all who assisted with the success of the conference.
