Kreston has been shortlisted for International Accounting Bulletin’s (IAB) “Rising Star Network” Award. Kreston won the Award in 2012 and this year will go head to head against Nexia with the results being revealed at a ceremony in London on 14 March 2013.

The finalists were drawn from a “very strong set” of submissions sent during the nomination period and the winners will now be decided by an independent panel of judges including Jane Howard of Wragge & Co, Sue Almond of ACCA, and one of the world’s most influential accountants, Sir David Tweedie who, as former chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board spearheaded a two-decade long overhaul global accounting standards and the adoption of international financial reporting standards into over 100 countries around the world.

Judges will consider:

Evidence of the successful implementation of a strategy that has improved the Network’s global position and reputation across the world.
Improvement in staff and client satisfaction
Proven innovation to enhance the network’s delivery services.
Kreston CEO Jon Lisby, says:

“Last year’s award was won based on the network’s achievement in implementing its medium term strategy 2005 – 2012. We consider that the further progress achieved in 2012 is sufficiently robust to retain the Award. Kreston has demonstrated clear ambition, the capability to implement a medium term strategy, to innovate and to deliver outstanding growth coupled with excellent value for its membership. These are the only truly global Awards for international accounting networks and it’s a measure of our further success that we have been shortlisted. Our thanks go to all members, the Kreston Board and International Office Team for their continued contribution and support”
