Kreston Mexico Demonstrate National Collaboration

Executive Director, Jon Lisby, recently attended the annual conference of Kreston Mexico in Puerto Vallarta. The conference was attended by over 50 partners from Kreston Mexico member firms.
Jon comments “the progress made by our Mexican members in the last year has been outstanding. We recruited 12 new member firms in 2006 and have largely completed geographical coverage of the country. The Kreston resource in Mexico now extends to 28 offices with over 600 professionals and staff”.
Outside of the USA, this Conference was undoubtedly the largest national conference ever held by Kreston International.
The Conference sessions covered issues such as Kreston International medium term development planning and looked at ways in which the structure of Kreston Mexico can be further developed. Two Kreston members, Francisco Bracamontes and Alejandro Isás were recognised for their achievements obtained during their respective periods as President.
Rogelio Garcia, elected to serve as the current President of Kreston Mexico, outlined the plans for 2007 – 2009 and spoke of consensus and confidence that existed within Kreston Mexico that the plans for continuous improvement and enhanced collaboration could be achieved. He required each appointed working party to complete their assigned tasks within one year.
Frank Sánchez-Ruiz attending from the Caribbean presented on Puerto Rico, his firm’s recent opening of an office in New York to specifically service Hispanic business needs and the opportunities for cooperation in the region. Frank commented “the organisation, high level of participation, content and topics covered during the Conference have been excellent and highly valuable. Kreston Mexico’s commitment, individually and as a group, in dealing with national branding; training programs; standardisation of audit approach, program and procedures; quality control matters; and co-working is impressive”.
A further meeting of the Kreston Mexico group will be held alongside the Kreston World Conference in Chicago in October 2007 and The 2008 Kreston Mexico Conference will be held in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico in January 2008.
