Delegates network to win in Sydney

November 30, 2009

The Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney was the venue this year for the 38th Kreston International annual conference, “Network to Win”. 130 delegates and companions met to enjoy a mix of business and social activities against the backdrop of the Sydney Bridge and Opera House.

The business theme this year continued to build upon cohesion and collaboration within Kreston and following an excellent opening reception and welcome dinner, Keynote speaker, Ross Dawson, author of “Living Networks” and the award winning “Developing Knowledge-Based Client Relationships”, discussed how new technologies are shifting business relationships and client expectations.

Delegates who have yet to meet our recently appointed Director of Quality and Professional Standards, Sue Almond, were introduced to her via a virtual video presentation as Sue was unable to attend the conference this year. Niran Jiang from the Institute of Human Excellence delivered a presentation on organisational performance and transformation and Russell Cummings, who runs advisory firm, Strategic Business Development in Australia, presented an interactive workshop session aimed at improving the efficiency and productivity of accounting practices through the application of Lean Business Processes.

Executive Director,  Jon Lisby comments:

” Our thanks go to Tony Dormer and his team in Sydney for their assistance in the planning of this event and the selection of our external speakers. The presentations by Ross, Niran and Russell aligned with the conference theme of leadership, strategy and building successful networks.”

The 39th Kreston International Conference will be held in Cancun, Mexico.
