Kreston’s reputation as the “rising star” amongst the world’s international accounting networks continued to be recognised at the Annual International Accounting Bulletin Awards when Kreston narrowly missed out on retaining this prestigious award finishing as runner up to Nexia International at a ceremony in London last night.

The results were decided by an independent panel of judges which included one of the world’s most influential accountants, Sir David Tweedie, who, as former chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board spearheaded a two-decade long overhaul of global accounting standards and the adoption of international financial reporting standards into over 100 countries around the world.

Jon Lisby, Kreston’s CEO comments:

“Whilst retaining the Award was clearly our target, being voted runners up is an exceptional achievement and a testimony to the sustained energy, cohesion and determination of the whole Kreston network. Our congratulations go to Kevin Arnold and his team at Nexia International. To grow by 19% – more than 3 times the average rate, aided by two mega-mergers in the USA, and a step up into the Top 10 rankings was always going to be a performance that would take some beating”
