Record Attendance at EURAFNE Conference

The 2007 EURAFNE conference was held in Brussels, Belgium from May 31st until June 2nd, at the Hotel Metropole, a most gracious hotel in the city centre. With over 100 delegates and companions, this year’s Conference is believed to have broken all previous records.

The conference focused on the systems and relationships established to enable member firms to collaborate more closely and to grow the volume of referred business and the efficiency of working practices. Break out sessions covering Audit, Tax and VAT  and proved to be an excellent way for members to meet their Kreston colleagues , to share experiences and to contribute to the decision making process. Action plans were agreed and will be shared with members for implementation over the coming months.

The conference received presentations from the new members in Belgium, Russiaand the Ukraine. Abu Millar from Ghana and Jorge Papantos from Argentina also spoke of Kreston capabilities in Africa and South America.

Bill opened the Conference with an insight into CBIZ/MHM and the firms’ views on increasing transnational business and efficiency. An update of legislative changes in audit regulation was given by Dr Martin Manuzi, European director of the ICAEW ( Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales).
