CBIZ ACQUIRES MARKS PANETH LLP

US based Kreston firm, CBIZ MHM, has announced this week the addition of a significant new firm; Marks Paneth. The new firm comes with 600 employees and has offices in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Washington DC and Boca Raton. The firm is in the top 50 largest accounting firms in the US.

Marks Paneth specialises in a number of interesting sectors that have great synergy with existing Kreston Global specialisms, including real estate; construction; hospitality and restaurants; non-profits; government and healthcare; manufacturing; wholesale and distribution; theatre; media and entertainment. CBIZ feels confident that the new firm will further strengthen its position, allowing them to better serve a number of very attractive industries nationwide at scale.

This latest acquisition is the third in a line of very interesting internationally relevant accounting firm acquisitions made in 2021, Berntson Porter in Seattle, adding a team of 120 to the CBIZ portfolio and Shea Labagh Doberstein in San Francisco.

This news will also benefit the whole Kreston Global network as CBIZ is consistently on the leaderboard in terms of international work referrals. The newest addition to the CBIZ portfolio will likely bring significant business opportunities for the network.
