Record breaking event scheduled for Beijing

Kreston has announced that its 41st Annual World Conference “Momentum” will be held in Beijing over September 11-14 2012.

CEO, Jon Lisby said “We are delighted to have created a varied and highly stimulating 3 day Conference business programme with each section run by those ranked amongst the world’s recognised leading experts in their respective fields.

Kreston’s development in China has been equally impressive – in the past twelve months, the aggregate fee revenues of the Kreston China member firms has grown by 80% – a combination of 26% organic growth and 54% from the attraction of acquisition of additional member firms. Kreston now has 13 independent member firms in Mainland China – Beijing, Changsha, Chongqing, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hefei, Jinan, Kunming, Nanning, Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Taiyuan, Tianjin and Xian together providing a national resource of some 2,650 professional and support staff. Whilst this year’s China Survey has yet to be published, we anticipate that Kreston will rise to the rank of 9th largest international network – an impressive performance all round”

The Conference opens with an address by Dr. Yugui Chen – Deputy President and Secretary General of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“CICPA”) – Dr Chen who has led the Chinese profession through its development at breakneck pace from serving state owned enterprises, to public listed offerings to going international and his address with cover the past developments and the future of the profession in China.

International law firm, Jun He Law with offices throughout Mainland China, Hong Kong and New York will run presentations on the challenges Kreston’s clients may face when looking to establish operations in China – including the best structure, licensing requirement, employment law, intellectual property protection and repatriation of profits.
