The 2017 Kreston EMEA Conference was held in Marrakech, Morocco where 105 delegates drawn from 27 countries were in attendance.
Host firm, Kreston Exco Maroc presented an overview of their firm and the economy and investment opportunities in Morocco.
The business programme included updates on the global network development and systems for the application of data analytics in audit and consultancy services. Lively debate took place in the international tax sessions around Brexit; the impact of BEPS in members’ respective countries and the implications of Trump’s proposed tax changes.

Kreston admits Kreston M&P in Algeria, to membership.

Kreston is pleased to announce that Kreston M&P Algeria, has joined the membership, adding to the network’s coverage in Africa.
Formed in 2010, the three Partner firm offers audit, tax and advisory services from offices in Algiers and Oran.

Exco Africa look to digital era at annual conference in Benin and welcome new member in Cameroon.

Exco Africa, the African network of member Exco France, held its annual African Conference in Cotonou, Benin recently. The meeting took place at the hotel Novotel Orisha and the theme this year focused on the Digital Era.
The conference looked at the emerging strategic challenges the network faces in the digital era.
In attendance were representatives from Kreston’s recently appointed member in Ghana, namely Asante Anarfi firm’s partners George Hayford and Carl Engemann who attended the AGM to review Exco Africa’s strategy. Partners from other member firms also gave an update on the latest developments in their local economies.
During the conference, members had the opportunity to attend workshops including one hosted by Tarek Zouari, Managing Director of Exco Africa, who presented on the advantages of online accounting to increase collaboration.
Also in attendance was Franck Parker, President of Exco France and Kreston International Board Director, who presented on Microsoft Office 365. Franck highlighted that the adoption of this across the network will enable all offices to improve their communications.

New member in Cameroon:
At the conference, Exco Africa also announced the admittance of FIDACO, in Cameroon, to the Exco France network. Founded in 2000 and headed up by Mr Ibrahima Hassanou, the firm offers accounting, auditing and consulting services.

Kreston’s Australia Network, Bentley’s conference tackles emerging strategic challenges.

Kreston’s Australia Network, Bentleys recently held its annual Partners Conference in Hong Kong.
As well as attendees from Bentleys, also present were Kreston CEO, Jon Lisby; Kreston Board Director Sunil Goyal from Kreston SGCO in India; Erwin Winata from Kreston in Indonesia; Frank Lin from Kreston in Taiwan and Edmund Chan from Kreston in Hong Kong.
The aim of the conference was to discuss emerging strategic challenges in formal workshops spread out over 3 days and how the Network should progress with several key initiatives.
During the conference Asialink Business and The Hong Kong Trust Company presented on the market in SE Asia and outlined some of the business challenges that clients are likely to face if they intend to do business in the region. Austrade, the Australian government organisation that assists Australian businesses develop in international markets also gave an informative overview of how they can assist Bentleys, the global Network and its clients.

‘We needed to have a change of emphasis and move from an information based conference where we share operational issues, to a decision-making conference where we share ideas on how to deal with some of the emerging strategic challenges.
