About Sharon Omer-Kaye
Sharon Omer-Kaye is the Chair of the Global Private Client Services (GPCS) Group at Kreston Global and the Head of Private Client at James Cowper Kreston. She is a taxation specialist with over 30 years of experience. She has extensive expertise in advising private individuals, owner-managed businesses, trusts, and estates across the UK. Her sector specialisms include rural taxation, working with farmers, bloodstock clients, and landed estates, as well as an emerging focus on cryptocurrency and blockchain. She also has significant experience in providing international tax advice, including cross-border issues related to residency, domicile, and offshore trusts.
Sharon is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a member of the Society for Trusts and Estate Practitioners and the Chartered Insurance Institute. She holds professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Taxation, the Association of Taxation Technicians, the Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners, and the Personal Finance Society/Chartered Insurance Institute.

Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in History and Sociology from the University of Surrey.
Experience
Prior to joining James Cowper Kreston, she spent eight years at RSM UK, where she served as Head of Private Client for the Thames Valley and West region from March 2019 to November 2021 and as Office Managing Partner in Swindon from October 2013 to November 2021. Before her tenure at RSM UK, she was Head of Private Client at RSM Tenon from October 2006 to September 2013, providing strategic tax advice to clients across multiple sectors, including education, rural, travel, and service industries. She specialised in international tax planning, trusts, estates, and succession issues while also serving as Office Managing Partner for the Swindon office from July 2010 to December 2012.
Earlier in her career, Sharon was a Tax Partner at RSM Bentley Jennison from October 2006 to December 2009 and at Morris Owen from September 1994 to September 2006, where she specialised in a wide range of tax consultancy services. She continues to play a key role in shaping global private client tax services, combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of international and domestic tax complexities.
