Meera Rajah is a highly experienced Indirect Tax specialist with nearly three decades of expertise in VAT and Customs Duty. As Partner at James Cowper Kreston, she leads the firm’s VAT and International Trade services, with a particular focus on clients in South-East Asia. Her practical, commercially focused advice has helped clients resolve complex VAT disputes and achieve significant savings.

Experience

Meera joined James Cowper Kreston in 2012 and was appointed Partner in 2018. She has led the VAT advisory team since 2014, building a reputation for delivering technical excellence and tailored support to UK and international clients. Prior to this, she worked at Ryan Tax Services and spent over a decade at HM Revenue & Customs, where she developed deep insight into regulatory processes, compliance, and dispute resolution.

Her areas of expertise include cross-border supply chains, mergers and acquisitions, partial exemption, land and property, VAT mitigation, and advising not-for-profits and the film industry.
