In 2025, Kreston Ecuador implemented an international training program on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), led by its partner and expert Hernán Pablo Casinelli (Argentina), a recognised member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and current President of GLENIF (Latin American Group of Financial Reporting Standards Setters).
Ecuador’s 2025 SCVS Audit threshold changes
This initiative takes place amid evolving regulatory oversight in Ecuador, including the 2025 SCVS Resolution No. SCVS-INC-DNCDN-2025-0005, which introduced salary-indexed thresholds for mandatory audits of incorporated entities under SCVS supervision, reinforcing the importance of technical readiness to support both established and newly in-scope clients across the statutory audit landscape.
