Ankur Jain is a Senior Director at MMJS and leads the indirect tax practice in the UAE. He is a VAT / GST Implementation expert and Indirect Tax Senior professional with over 14 years of experience of multiple Jurisdictions. He has been ranked as ‘Highly Regarded’ in Indirect Tax in UAE by International Tax Review (ITR) World Tax in 2022-23, the world’s leading tax and accounting practice directory and ‘Rising Star Indirect Tax’ in 2021-22.
Prior to Joining MMJS, Ankur has worked for over 10 years in KPMG Lower Gulf UAE, Deloitte Malaysia (secondment) and Deloitte India. He has experience of goods and service tax (GST) / VAT implementation in Malaysia, India, UAE, KSA, Oman and Bahrain. Ankur has led VAT/GST projects for number of clients including government entities ,large family groups, Free zones, local, Multinational entities, and conglomerates across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Southeast Asia and India.
Ankur has also conducted various seminars on VAT and is regular speaker providing insights on VAT at various clients, forums & events in the UAE, KSA, Oman, Bahrain, India, and Malaysia. In his free time, Ankur loves to play Cricket, Badminton and spend time with his family.
