About Jan Slagter

Jan is the Head of the VAT team at Bentacera, an accountancy firm with 7 offices in the north of the Netherlands. Jan mainly focuses on advising non-resident companies that want to do business in Europe, both B2B and B2C where tax representation plays an important role in the service. One of Jan’s main motivations is to fully assist foreign clients so that they feel comfortable in a foreign tax jurisdiction.

In addition, Jan is the Chair for the Kreston Global Indirect Tax Group.  In this role, Jan is dedicated to ensuring that everyone experiences the added value of Kreston Global membership in all its aspects. In addition, Jan is committed to building a fully-fledged, globally operating VAT team.

Education & qualifications

Jan Slagter was attended University of Groningen`s obtaining a Master of Law degree. He is also a member of “Register Belastingaviseurs (RB)”, the largest professional association of tax specialists in the Netherlands for more than 90 years. Jan speaks English and German.
