About Sanket Shah

Sanket Shah is a Director of CFO Services at Kreston OPR Advisors and a finance and accounts leader with over 14 years of extensive experience in financial management, risk management, and business strategy. He is a Chartered Accountant with a strong background in assurance, having trained with Deloitte.

He specialises in financial advisory, business transformation, and strategic planning, with particular expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting, and ERP implementation. Sanket is also highly proficient in SAP systems and has supported organisations through complex restructuring, expansion, and performance improvement initiatives.

Education & qualifications

Sanket Shah is a Chartered Accountant, having completed his qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) between 2002 and 2008. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Additionally, he has completed a CPA Australia program in 2023.

Experience

Prior to working at Kreston OPR Advisors , Sanket spent over 14 years with GEA Group, where he held several senior leadership roles in finance and accounts, including Senior Director and Head of Finance & Accounts for India. During his tenure, he led financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, audit coordination, and financial reporting, while also playing a key role in SAP implementation and business process improvements.

Earlier in his career, he completed his articleship with Deloitte, where he gained foundational experience in audit and assurance across multiple industries.
