Experience
John was appointed Partner at Bishop Fleming in 2018, having already been responsible for signing audit reports for several years as a Director at both Bishop Fleming and BDO LLP. He started his career at EY, gaining experience working with multi-national and UK corporates. Over this time, he has gained significant experience across a wide range of sectors, including TMT, manufacturing, leisure and hospitality, professional services, education, and not-for-profit.
He has significant experience working with inbound clients. These range from full, stand-alone business models to cost-plus operations. He is very experienced in understanding the communication and logistics requirements of working with internationally based clients. For example, his clients have been based in the USA and Canada, in Europe, and in New Zealand, and have included overseas back-office operations in India. These companies range in size from pre-revenue to multi-million revenue. He understands the need for clear communication and meeting strict timetable requirements. He is also able to advise on how companies need to comply with UK corporate reporting requirements and on common challenges, including transfer pricing.
