Business structuring services

There are many ways that you can structure your business. Each structure carries its own set of implications on how your business operates, the level of tax that you pay, and even the level of legal protection you have as the owner.

At Kreston Global, our expert consultants can provide you with bespoke business structuring services. They will guide you through the process of finding the most efficient structure for your business, laying the foundations for growth. If you’d like to discuss how you could benefit from our advisory services, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our experts today.

What do you need to consider?

The key to efficiently structuring your business lies in diligent consideration of the different structures available. To do this properly, you first need to consider your business objectives and requirements, as well as any motivations you might have for restructuring in the first place.

Your business’ unique needs

We understand that each business is different. That’s why our specialist consultants take the time to thoroughly understand what you want your business to achieve before giving you business structuring advice. They will draw on their experience, asking important questions such as:

  • How many individuals run the business?
  • How many staff members does the business employ?
  • How many locations does the business operate in?
  • What is the risk profile of the business?
  • What is the primary capital expenditure?
  • Will profits be extracted or re-invested in the business?

Armed with this information and more, we will offer you bespoke business structure advice that supports you in the pursuit of your goals.

The main types of business structure

Sole Trader: This is the simplest and easiest business structure to register with HMRC. You are self-employed and identified with the business, entitling you to any profits yet also exposing you to liabilities.

Partnership: In this structure, you share the profits and losses of a business with another individual. Again, you are entitled to the profits and losses of the business but, crucially, you’re also liable for any misconduct enacted by your partner.

Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs): Like a partnership, an LLP allows individuals to work together but with greater protection from the consequences of their partner’s actions.

Limited Company: These are privately owned businesses, owned by shareholders and run by directors. The company is responsible for its own performance and has its own obligations – completely separate from you as a key stakeholder.

Groups of companies: Also referred to as corporate groups. Groups of companies function as a single economic entity.

How business structuring advice can benefit you

Having the right legal status is crucial when you start a business. Without this, you may not be able to make decisions or solve problems and disputes in the way that you want to. Yet new challenges and opportunities will also arise as your business grows. Because of this, you need to regularly review your existing structure to see whether it’s the most efficient and profitable option.

Armed with the trusted advice of a business structure expert, you have an advantage in the marketplace. When you partner with one of our specialist consultants, you’ll have access to the wealth of insight that only comes with years of experience.

Here’s a sample of the many benefits of consulting with our business structuring experts:

  • Starting your business in the optimal structure for growth
  • Understanding the connections between organizational structure and performance
  • Identifying the most beneficial tax reliefs and incentives for your business
  • Safeguarding your business over the long term by reducing risk
  • Building the credibility to attract external investment
