Interpreneur insights
We spoke to Kreston Global clients about the interpreneur 2026 report, the results and how a risk mindset helps them navigate global business.
What were the primary motivators for your business expanding internationally?
International expansion as a market growth strategy
For DMC Group, international markets are essential because individual local markets are too small. Serge Lemarchal says tariffs can have a major impact on production costs, sourcing and customer pricing, but they will not change the company’s international direction. The ongoing task is to adapt and balance remote sourcing with local production and suppliers where possible.

"We will not stop or reduce our international footprint for that reason. It’s just a matter of adaptation."
The Interpreneur Report found that 37% of interpreneurs cite logistics and supply chain issues as one of the biggest challenges to international expansion. Lemarchal’s experience shows how global ambition can continue alongside practical adjustments to sourcing and costs.
Optimism despite short-term shocks
O.C.O Technology sees potential in markets where recyclable material still goes to landfill. As regulation, landfill costs and public attitudes change, Steve Greig sees room for the company’s circular-economy approach to compete and grow. His outlook is optimistic, while recognising that international growth means adapting to short-term shocks and making decisions for the long term.

"I feel more positive now than I’ve ever done. … I’m hugely excited with the opportunities that we have in the world, and we just need to navigate the current situations."
86% of interpreneurs expect conditions for international expansion to improve over the next two to three years. Greig’s confidence echoes that outlook, grounded in the opportunity he sees in changing markets and regulations
To what extent have tariffs or trade disputes impacted your organisation’s global strategy over the past 1-2 years?
Staying nimble across three markets
With operations in the UK, India and the US, George A. Palmer Group has to adapt as tariffs and other rules shift. Marcus Palmer describes India as a fast-growing, business-oriented economy, while explaining why managing transfer pricing across three organisations requires outside advice.

"It’s not the tariff. It’s what it is or isn’t, and the moving of it. That’s what makes the difference."
This echoes the Interpreneur report, which finds that almost 57% of respondents say tariffs and trade disputes have significantly affected their global strategy. Palmer’s experience shows how uncertainty around changing tariffs can shape decisions well beyond the tariff cost itself.
